Do Look Down: One Frosted Morning on the Ground

February 5, 2018 by Darren Clarke

I still don’t really get the first “r” in February. Couldn’t we save it and use it someplace more urgently in need of an “r?” February can get by with just that second “r” no problem. To me, it’s almost as if the word February was designed to test how much you care about spelling by someone who cared too much about spelling.

At any rate, here’s some pictures of stuff on the ground coated in frost and/or ice.

These pictures were all taken in “Historic,” Thorold South one cold morning in late January.

I was actually wandering someplace else to take pictures this particular morning when I happened to look down to see a leaf on the sidewalk glistening with frost. And it was beautiful. Continuing my walk I was happy to find the phenomenon was rampant, as if the whole earth beneath my feet was encrusted in precious gems.
