Blondie. 

This playlist was inspired by Blondie. I saw her on TV recently and thought, “How can you not love Blondie?” 

So I set out to grab as much post-punk, punk, as I could, featuring a cornocopia of bands whose names start with, “The,”- The Vapors, The Damned, The Vibrators ,The Scientists, The Fall, to get all imperfectly cool with ragged guitars, droning keyboards, and howls of unbridled excitement to compliment Blondie’s impossible not to love 70’s ease of sweeping chic.

And yeah, at some point in the playlist I found myself dancing like Belinda Carlisle. This playlist may start slow and brooding but if you hang in there’s enough shake, rattle and roll you to get your soul hopping.
