Drive Thru Foto: Chippawa, Ontario

January 16, 2019 by Darren Clarke

Trying to shake off my post-Holiday melancholy hibernation tendencies I managed to take an accidental drive out to Chippawa, Ontario, (located on the outer edge of Niagara Falls) and grab a few photos around downtown against that rarest of January occurrences- a blue sky.

The Church below is the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. The outboard motor from the outside of a patio bar, The Boat House, (that I have never seen open) just over the Weightman bridge.

The mural in the first set of pictures is from the Parkway Court Motel which depicts some of the personalities involved in the Battle of Chippawa Creek from the War of 1812.

The shots along the water were taken along the Welland River. The graffiti’d trailer meanwhile is from Merritton by the old canal famous for it’s brown water and, as you can see in the one photo, its’ lost shopping carts.
